I have 3 kids, ages 11, 10, 8. The prime age they should be reading…only one enjoys reading. Thanks to a friend she recommended reading time before bed. So we would read 1 or 2 chapters (whatever was doable). My oldest got the Chronicles of Narnia book set for Christmas so we agree to read these together. It doesn’t happen every night, I mean remember when I said I was lazy!?
They have loved this and I feel like a better mom ha! The best part is teaching them the parallel to the Bible. Even have moments where they picked it up on their own (so this makes me super proud and maybe a tear or two 😉).
Just an easy idea for you moms with the kids that don’t care to read. I feel it has really helped this battle. They enjoy this time now!
