“Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” Like 23:34
A direct quote from Jesus while on the cross. He was able to speak these words even after the horrific events had just occurred and he was dying on the cross. Would you be able to utter these words when someone really betrays you? Think about this, when we betray God what does He do? He says I forgive them for they do not know what they are doing. So if we are to be like God, I think that goes for the grace as well.
Can I say conviction?! Wow. But we are to have grace for others just like He gives it to us. Let His grace overflow to others! Another form of grace that He gives us is He knows we are not perfect.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in your weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
Your weaknesses don’t disqualify you. In fact they qualify you even more because they are the portals through which God’s power permeates your life. STOP stressing and straining to be a different you. The real you is perfect and priceless. It’s not what God has to work with, it’s what God wants to work with. From this starting point, progress is possible.
I pray that we may understand Your grace a little more and see that You WANT to give it us, not that we deserve it. For you know we are broken and living in a sinful world. Let Your grave overflow us to others. Thank you sweet Jesus 💜
Blessings, Angie
