Another look into this topic. Remember we are to put on His whole armor. “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against strategies and tricks of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11 This armor is a choice. I strongly advise you do though! This is the only way that you will be ready to stand in front of satan.
One mistake is people think oh I follow Christ, no trials or heartache will happen to me. Oh friend have you been misled. “…In this world you will have troubles…” John 16:33 Jesus said there will be trials, there will be pain, there will be grief, there will be heartache, there will be betrayal.
In our flesh, our worldly flesh, we are not able to do any of this. We can not defeat the devil. It’s on,y with Gods armor are we able to defeat him. Honestly when you decide to be a champion, to follow Christ, you will face a lot of heat and criticism. You will hurt. God calls us to be like David, steadfast in knowing your power is in the Lord and your courage is a product of your faith.
The first piece I want to share is the belt of truth. The belt holds everything you need for a battle. Truth is when you come to know Christ, for He is truth. The truth comes from the Holy Spirit which He gives to you when you become a follower of Him. Search the scripture. Write them on your heart. If you want to win in he physical world, you better be on board with the winning side in the spiritual place.
I pray these words help you understand the armor of God better. The truth is Gods words, we need to wrap them around ourselves. These truths hold everything else. So today let’s put on the belt of truth!
