As we dress for battle, the next piece is the helmet of salvation. Not only do we need to guard our hearts we also need to guard our minds. Helmets from the Israelite soldiers was made of iron or brass.
A blow to your mind can be fatal. For this we need to take captive every thought we have. We need to have wisdom that only comes from God. To get this kind of wisdom we just need to spend time in His word and in His open conversations. Fill our minds with God and only Him. This way we can be ready for anything.
For decision making in this world we need to look at God and only God. Listen to His wisdom and apply it. Put on the helmet every day.
