We believe in the name of Jesus, and no one else. He is our only way to God. No Jesus, No salvation. Under the heaven for EVERYONE. Among men, He was with Jesus, born in the likeness of human. Given salvation is a gift. Thought this we admit we need Jesus. “For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” -Romans 10:9
He wants us to want Him. He is the Bread of Life. For this He doesn’t want us living an empty shell of a life. We are to live with fullness. “Jesus replied, I am the bread of life. No one who comes to me will ever be hungry again. Those who believe in Me will never thirst.”
Jesus is the light. “…I am the light of the world, if you follow me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness…” -John 8:12 He wants us to expose the sin so we can be freed from the chains.
A quote from Billy Graham, “Prayer is simply a two-way conversation between you and God.” No part of our beyond messy lives scare Him.
Getting to know God, communicating our desires, listening to God speak truth to our spirit, voicing our need for God to help us, observing God in creation and praising Him, sitting with God in our pain, expressing our gratitude, and on going conversation.
He wants us to trust Him even when we don’t know what’s going to happen next. I have had to learn how to trust Him in an even newer more deeper way. The nerve pain disease I have, CRPS, is non-curable. There is no one treatment even for it, nor 2 people that help them the same. So far each treatment has not helped me very long. Yet I trust that God has me. He will one day heal me completely. I keep trying the new things the doctor prescribes me with hope. And even though my hope is quickly let down I still trust God. I still continue my conversations with Him.
Only one kind of person goes to God- a sinner. For we all fall into this category. To gain His mercy we must admit our sins.
