Hello! Hope you are all doing well. Today wasn’t too bad of a day. Pain was pretty low. I was a little more motivated. The kids were gone the morning so I was able to do some of my editing.
I felt God more 💜 I love those days.
The next section of Ephesians was verses 1-10 of chapter 2. This section is called in my Bible, Made Alive with Christ. Talks about apart from Christ we have a sinful nature. No one is completely perfect with God’s standard, even a long time Christian. So we need to admit that we need God, with Him we can strive to do better.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. (NLT).
I liked the commentary in my study Bible… “If God considers us His masterpiece, we dare not treat ourselves with disrespect or as inferior work.” Ouch! I have to be honest, I struggle with this one. But when I read that I think wow I am basically telling God that He messed up with me. Guess what?! God can’t mess up!!
Also His intentions are that we will use that free gift of salvation to put it to good use. To serve Christ and build up the church. The church is not a building. It’s the people who are following Christ. We need to bring more and more people to Him. That is how we can thank God for all He has done for us.
Boys and girls, we need God. Oh do we ever need him. Let’s go be the church!! 💜
