Temple for the Lord

Yay it’s Friday!! Oh how I love weekends.

So our weather is a little crappy (it fits ha!) today. My ankle is a little touchy/sensitive. The pain isn’t too bad but I am really tired. I think my body is working so much on these days and just wears me down.

Onto Ephesians. This last section in chapter 2 ends with another meaning for the church. A lot of times we associate church as a building. That is not what God says it is. The church is the people that are chasing after Him. It’s you and me. Anyone that is a Christian, Christ follower, is the church. All of us together. He lives in us and reveals himself to the watching world. The head of the church (the people) is Christ himself.

Ephesians 2:20 We are His house, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. (NLT)

This church is not built on modern ideas. It is built on the spiritual heritage given to us by the early apostles and prophets of the Christian church. For example, Paul who wrote this book is one of them that we need to base our life off of. We need to study the words he wrote that came from God on how we are to live and not to live.

I pray that we remember that. The church is not a building, it’s not where you go to every Sunday. The church is all of us that have accepted Him. He is the “pastor” of us all. Have a great weekend!! 💜
