Pain and Hurt

Our reading this week: Monday: Genesis 12-15. Tuesday: 16-18. Wednesday: Genesis 19-21. Thursday: Genesis 22-24. Friday: Genesis 25-26. Saturday: Genesis 27-29. Sunday: Genesis 30-31.

Happy Wednesday! Update on me: I have another kidney stone. Thankfully it’s not too big, just have to go through the process of passing it. They are also checking other things…I have been really struggling still with being able to get things done. I have no energy and just feel really nauseous all the time. Winter is so hard! Looking into different detox methods too, I will share which one I choose and the results as I go. Getting an ultrasound done on my kidneys to make sure there is no inflammation happening too. Would love some prayers!

Hurt and Pain is a hard thing to deal with. This can be physical, mental, or emotional. Both are just as heavy. So how do you deal with it? Do you use it for God’s glory? Or better yet, do you even know how to get to the point that you can see God’s glory through it?

Take a step back and think…when do you feel the closest to God? When do you feel Him the most? Sometimes during it you may think He is distant, but when you look back you will see the times He is the nearest are the times we are hurting. He teaches us His heart during these times. Who He is. This is for our eternal benefit.

So how do you deal with it? Go to the only one that can help, God. Pour out your heart to Him. You will be thanking me later 😉 I don’t always handle my times of pain or hurt the way I should. It can be difficult in that moment sometimes. But when I do, my life changes for the better. The pain or the hurt doesn’t always disappear, but that is when God shows me who He is. Therefore I am able to use my pain for His glory.

I am dealing with the most painful thing on the planet…plus I have the other almost top painful things with it right now…and I can still stand and say I am thankful for this journey and I give it all to the Glory of God. I am not the same person I was before, I am better, because He is refining me. “See I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this” – Isaiah 48:10.

Give it to God! Again wether it’s physical, mental, or emotional pain or hurt. Just give it to Him. He knows all but He wants to hear it from you. He wants to give you hope and strength and to teach you more of Him. 🧡
