Busy. That seems to be the “norm” for life. If you are not busy then you are missing out on something is how the world has made us feel. I’m here to say it’s not worth it. Let’s get back to the simple life.
One of our elders spoke this past Sunday on priorities. 1. God, 2. Family, 3. Work, and 4. Everything else… No excuses, this is how God wants us to live our lives. If we are busy, meaning changing the order, then we have no time left for God. Our lives WILL fall apart.
If God is number one then everything else will fall into place. But making Him number one we have to make time for Him. So let’s start with one thing. Looking at your life, where is one place you could start to make more time for Him?
I have definitely found what’s more important in my life and what I can let go. I am slowly changing them and using that free time for God. Now I want to make more time for my family, so this summer I decided I want to put my social media on mute. I have a habit to mindlessly scroll sometimes and after awhile it starts to add up.
So here’s to a summer of getting back to a simpler life and making sure my priories are right. It may sound like something so small but I know God will use it big time and I can’t wait! 🧡
