Monday: Ezekiel 1-4 (Luke 5). Tuesday: Ezekiel 5-8 (Luke 6). Wednesday: Ezekiel 9-12 (Luke 7). Thursday: Ezekiel 13-15 (Luke 8). Friday: Ezekiel 16-17 (Luke 9). Saturday: Ezekiel 18-20 (Luke 10). Sunday: Ezekiel 21-22 (Luke 11).
I can’t believe it’s 20 more days til Christmas. This year is flying by. It’s so easy to get lost in the hustle the holidays bring. I struggle with it as well. This year I am trying to slow down and see the moments. My kids are growing up so fast and I want to treasure the days more. The holidays also bring a lot of tradions. What are some of your favorite Christmas/winter traditions?
We have several in our house. My favorite Christmas tradition is the kids and I sleep by the tree Christmas eve night. We have a few movies/shows we watch, Charlie Brown Christmas being one, that we watch before going to sleep. Something simple and free but has been the most memorable thing for them and me!
Some others that we do is drive around looking at lights while eating popcorn. I get them pajamas they open up on Christmas eve to wear that night. Eve of Christmas eve service is another big one. I honestly think the kids love it because they actually get to hold a lit candle, haha! We also make some kind of desert (usually cake) for Jesus’ birthday.
The traditions are always a great part of Christmas time just remember they are not all Christmas is. Making sure everything is perfect for those get togethers is not all Christmas is. Remembering the birth of Jesus is the most important. The one who seals the new covenant that makes us all one in Christ was born. That is the best gift you could ever receive. ❤
